Human Weapon

Human Weapon

Throughout history, the martial arts have had a significant impact on world events. Cultures and civilizations have risen and have fallen as a result of military prowess, especially when it came to hand-to-hand combat. Karate, Capoeira, Muay Thai, Kung Fu -- each is the unique product of a fascinating past. Each is steeped in the history and mythology of a particular region. And each has a Master. In every episode of Human Weapon our hosts, two martial arts adventurers, go on a quest to find the master of a different martial art. Their quest takes them to some extreme and exotic places. One week they are forced to sample steamed silk worms and choke down snake blood (both local delicacies) en route to a face off with the reigning Taekwondo champion in South Korea. Another week, they are riding elephants to meet a historian who will explain how Muay Thai was crucial in Thailand's victories over its arch rival Burma.
